They need skills such as the written word and verbal presentation of news, knowledge of the media and media law and the technical aspects of broadcasting.
Diploma in Journalism and Media is a skill-oriented course. The eligibility for admission is +2 or equivalent education in any stream. The course is of 1-year duration, which provides value-based education in the area of Journalism and Media at affordable fee structure. In the course the students not only get chance to learn through various workshops and seminars, but also get upgraded knowledge from the skilled industry professionals.
The aim of the Diploma in Journalism & Media is to provide these skills so that students can demonstrate their creative abilities. As part of this process, students will be provided with a thorough grounding in the role of the journalist; skills to write stories; skills needed in TV and broadcasting industry; and an awareness of the legal environment in which the media operate. The Diploma aims to reflect this diversity by providing students with a set of key journalistic and media skills enhanced by a wide-ranging knowledge base.
