The Edupreneurs Awards, 2017 was held at Chandigarh, amidst the elites of education sector. The awards were organized by India’s leading media and marketing group, Times of India, to recognize, celebrate and encourage excellence in education and learning. The endeavour was to recognize and reward excellence, innovative initiatives and exemplary work in the Education Sector in a spectacular style.
This year, the Edupreneurs Award is presented to Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Principal, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. The award was given by Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu, Minister of Local Government, Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Archives and Museums, Punjab. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that HMV has got the highest grade by NAAC, Bangalore. This institute has a glorious history of 90 years and continuously working towards women education. The aim of college is to provide skill based education to the girls. With each passing year, HMV is achieving new milestones and is emphasizing on the holistic growth of the students. HMV is offering various courses in Humanities, Science, Computers and Commerce streams. Industry exposure is also given to students through academic tours and projects. HMV is also offering skill based job oriented courses under Community College and Vocational streams.
On this occasion, a painting made by Fine Arts Deptt. was also presented to Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu and he appreciated the work of students. Dean Innovative Practices Mrs. Ramnita Saini Sharda, Mrs. Rama Sharma, Mr. Ashish Chadha and Mr. Vidhu Vohra were also present.
