24-7-2018 to 7-09-2018 Student Bridge Gap Program

NSS volunteers from Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar undertook a unique mission in associatioin with District Administration Jalandhar & NGO Pratham to educate & strengthen the basic skills of primary students of Government School, Gandhi Camp, Jalandhar. NSS Volunteers participated in the student bridge gap program to impart basic learning skills in Mathematics, Science and English. The program was conceptualized to develop basic competencies required for subject understanding in govt. schools of Punjab. HMV Jalandhar, District Administration & NGO Pratham joined hards for this pilot project in the city. 20 NSS Volunteers trained the children by encouraging them to learn the things practically. NSS Volunteers devotedly toiled hard to address the gap in Education system especially in early years of the children.

NSS unit along with NGO Shakti Foundation sent relief to Kerala Flood victims in form of clothing, sanitary napkins, toiletries, money etc.

NSS department held a rally for creating awareness among farmers regarding paddy stubble burning. NSS volunteers created awareness by holding placards and by raising slogans.

ANNUAL STATUS OF EDUCATION REPORT survey to provide annual estimate of children's schooling status and basic learning levels for each district of India.

Seven Days Camp

A seven day NSS was organized from 17 Dec to 23rd Dec 2018. Total 106 students participated in this camp. In this seven days camp students carried out the cleanliness the campus, white painting the stems of trees and counting the trees, visited apahij ashram, A medical camp in Gakhla village was also organized.
