Trichomes blue-green, solitary, usually straight, ungranulated cross walls, walls not

               Phylum: Cyanobacteria

               Class: Cyanophyceae
               Order: Oscillatoriales

               Family: Oscillatoriaceae
               Genus: Oculatella

Filamentous cyanobacteria, forming reddish, sometimes greenish compact subaerophytic

biofilms on solid calcareous substrata. Filaments fine, long, coiled into clusters and wavy,
unsheathed and mostly unbranched. Sheaths colourless, thin, firm, enveloping one trichome

and usually attached to it or slightly distant, occasionally open at the ends. Trichomes
cylindrical slightly constricted at cross walls, not attenuated toward the ends. False branching

occurs very rarely under culture conditions. Apical cell conical-rounded. Trichomes fine 1-3
               um in diameter.

               Genus: Westiellopsis

Filamentous thallus, filaments intensely true-branched, Main filaments torulose, with short
barrel-shaped cells, branch filaments thinner and elongate (T-type of branches). Cells not
