Thalli colonial, forming 4-8 celled coenobia not embedded in mucilaginous envelope. Cells

arranged in a linear or sub alternating series. Cells fusiform to spherical in surface view with
small space between cells. 8 celled colonies always in sub alternating series. Cell walls

smooth, cells uninucleate. Chloroplast single and parietal with single pyrenoid. Cells 3-5 µm
               broad 15-18 µm long.

               Accession No. CTR00057
