Dear all

Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya is an iconic institution which took up the challenging times
of COID-19 with empathy and vigor to forge ahead in the dynamic education system. From the

past 95 years, this glorious institution is working with an avowed mission of empowering
women and society. We, at HMV make relentless efforts to enhance analytical skills, creativity

and innovation imbued with moral values to make an individual humane in thoughts and action.

I feel elated that Hans Raj Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Jalandhar, Punjab once again added a first
to its credit as the PG Department of Botany in collaboration with Punjab Biodiversity Board

organized an e-International Conference on ‘Plant Biodiversity and Environment

Conservation’ (ICPBEC -2021. This was the first conference of its kind in Punjab Region.

It is of great importance that humans reverse the harm done to Mother Earth and develop
sustainable methods of growth. We should wake up to our responsibility towards biodiversity

on which our human existence depends so much. Nature, climate and people should be in sync
because protecting nature is not only an environmental issue but also a developmental, social

and ethical issue.
