11. Shaikh et al, Almost 0.3 billion - 0.7 billion trees have been prevented from

(2020) cutting due to the lockdown imposed worldwide to reduce the spread
                                       of corona virus

                 12. Wani et al. As per data of ESA (European Space Agency) and NASA (National

(2020) Aeronautic and Space Administration) level of pollution reduced by
30% in India, China, Spain, USA etc. with Gangas Dolphins a

critically endangered species spotted in the water of Ganges at
various ghats of Kolkata after 30 years and Navi Mumbai witnessing

thousands of flamingos due to reduction in water pollution during
                                       lockdown.

Thus, from the various studies it can be accomplished that COVID-19 lockdown has given

time for the wildlife to move without restrictions to the places of their choice making humans
realize the destruction done to the nature.

               4. Negative Impact of COVID-19 on Environmental Conservation

Coronavirus has shown an increase in unrecyclable waste such as masks, PPE kits etc. By
throwing used masks, bottles in rivers, seas etc. in water and in open, people are not only

polluting water and other natural resources but also endangering the life of other living
creatures. Natural ecosystem’s monitoring and maintenance are getting disturbed due to

coronavirus and the protected wildlife are at high risk of illegal poaching and hunting. The
diversion of funds to more vital causes, as well as travel limitations, is likely to have an

               impact on research activities.

                 2. Newsome During COVID-19 negative pressure on wildlife tourism has been

(2020) created posing a threat to wildlife protection as conservation is
