Fig.2. Cases of COVID-19 as on 16 May 2021
2. Methodology: The implications, recommendations and conclusion highlighted in the
present paper are based on the online research studies published in journals, books,
newspapers and websites. The human lockdown during COVID-19 can be seen as a Global
Human Confinement Experiment (Zowalaty & Jarhult, 2020) which has given us the chance
to study the effects of human presence and movement on our nature (Bates, et. al, 2020),
biodiversity, ecosystem and environment.
3. Positive Impact of Coronavirus on Environmental Conservation:
Coronavirus lockdowns and the curfews have depicted the most evident effects on air, water
and noise pollution, on nature and the wildlife which has been revealed in various research
papers and journals throughout the world.
3. 1 Impact on Atmosphere (Air):
Air pollution has seen a tremendous rise in the last century due to rapid increase in
industrialization and commercialization leading various diseases in human beings related to
respiratory system. Air pollution regulations typically targets on the sources that can decrease
emissions rather than on the distortion of the activities. The restrictions in the form of
lockdowns have shown a significant decrease in the pollutants present in the air reported in
various studies published.
